Instructor teaching one-on-one students and full classrooms SAT and ACT prep.

Structures and adjusts syllabi and lesson plans to suit individual students’ performance, needs and strengths. Tutor 60 and 90-minute lessons with individual students on weekly and biweekly bases.
Creates and teaches lesson plans based on standardized syllabi for classes of up to 25 students. Works with a management team to ensure students’ quantitative results are tracked and showing improvement.

Guest Teacher serving diverse needs at charter schools across Chicago.

Taught in place of kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school teachers at charter schools serving economically, ethnically, and linguistically diverse neighborhoods on Chicago’s South and West Sides.
Lectured, guided, and assisted in subjects ranging from English Language Arts and Social Studies to Chemistry and Algebra as well as in Early Childhood Education activities such as story time and phonics.

Teaching Assistant for CIS 110: Introduction to Computer Science

Co-taught two-hour weekly recitations for 10+ students enrolled in CIS 110, designed to supplement materials taught in the larger lecture course and explain concepts introduced in weekly homework assignments.
Graded weekly assignments for students in my recitation and held weekly office hours open to all students in the course, where I helped them with assignments, explained concepts in more depth, and assisted with exam preparation.

Collaborated with a team of 12+ Android, iOS, and backend engineers to implement new designs, ensure regulatory compliance, and fix bugs in the flagship Walgreens mobile app.
Contributed to novel initiatives on consumer team (overseeing app experience from product discovery to checkout) to institute new modular home screen to ensure a personalized user experience without code changes.
Developed features to highlight priority products and increase customer add-to-cart rate in support of e-commerce team (overseeing product listing and detail page enhancements).

Android Developer building a seamless mobile app experience for the forward-looking corner store

Organized and initiated efforts to revise and rearchitect outdated source code while maintaining ongoing new feature development and design updates as a part of a small team (2-5 developers).
Mentored junior developers on engineering principles, architectural design, and best coding practices and collaborated on architectural and technical decisions with Android engineers of various backgrounds and levels of experience.
Contributed to the Foxtrot Android application from April - September 2021 as a full-time employee and from February - September 2022 as an independent contractor while I worked towards my master’s degree.

Software Engineer rethinking Android for a health-centered smart vending machine

Spearheaded the ground-up rebuild of the Farmer's Fridge Android application as the company's only Android engineer.
Worked closely with UI and UX designers, product managers, and iOS and backend engineers to develop and execute a comprehensive overhaul of the mobile app ecosystem.
Collaborated on the design and implementation of a web-socket based system which allowed users to dispense pre-ordered items without needing to touch the vending machine during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Software Engineer bringing WB properties to Android, Channel Lead for Asian media app DramaFever

Developed new features and maintained a large modular codebase for popular media streaming applications (10,000-100,000+ daily active users) such as DramaFever, Boomerang, and DC Universe.

Acted as liaison between the Android engineering team and the product, design, and content teams for DramaFever to ensure the timely development and release of updates and improvements to the DramaFever Android application.
Explained technical concepts and considerations to designers and product managers to enable collaborative problem solving and give insight into engineering process and concerns.
